Clareville
is an up market, leafy suburb preferred by those seeking peace
and quiet and a strong affinity with nature. The main arterial
to Clareville is beyond the Avalon Shopping Village via Avalon
Parade. As soon as you pass the Clareville shopping centre
you notice traffic ceases and the only sound becomes that
of local bird life. Tall, shady gums become more prevalent
and the native Australian bush takes over. In fact, Clareville
is home to the biggest Angophora tree in NSW and can be seen
in the virgin bush and forest of Angophora Reserve. This area
of natural bush land has been preserved by committed locals
as a corridor for wildlife, in particular the local koala
population.
On the Pittwater foreshores are Clareville
and Paradise Beaches. These tranquil local beaches offer excellent
BBQ and picnic facilities to while away a lazy summer's day,
or a warm winter afternoon sheltered from the harsh southerly
busters.
Clareville real estate, particularly
the tightly held waterfront properties, is somewhat expensive.
There are still some reasonably priced family homes however
and original cottages offer enormous potential for further
improvement and capital gain. Most homes have been designed
to blend in with their native bush land surrounds. Most properties
feature filtered Pittwater views.
